(MP3 Podcast on www.ParisDJs.com) 2012-09-17

This 4th volume of Paris DJs' Spectacular series assembles once again new cool afro grooves from the international scene, with tracks coming from all over the place: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Congo, Denmark, Ehtiopia, France, Ghana, Hungary, Mali, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, UK, and, of course, lots of band from the USA where the Afro fever has now risen to new heights after the success of the Fela musical. Djouls has been digging once again for months, carefully selecting the best tracks from all the new and not so new bands out there playing African groovy music, including this time Afro Latin Vintage Orchestra, Alma Afrobeat Ensemble, Analogik, Antibalas, Brownout, Debo Band, Ebo Taylor, Getatchew Mekuria & The Ex, Hearts of Darkness, Imperial Tiger Orchestra, J-san & Big Mean, Jungle By Night, King Porter Stomp, KonKoma, Kwame Afrovibes, London Afrobeat Collective, Ocote Soul Sounds, Orgone, Papa Chango, Piper Street Sound and Dialect Trio, Samuel Yirga, Staff Benda Bilili, The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, The Qualitons, The Souljazz Orchestra, The Sway Machinery featuring Khaira Arby, Toumani Diabatés Symmetric Orchestra and Underground System Afrobeat. Add to that selection some very cool Afro tracks from Latin, Funk or Pop artists such as Brownout, Combo de la Musica, Connie Price & The Keystones, Criolo, Damn!, King Porter Stomp, Orgone, Rubblebucket and The Impellers, give it to Grant Phabao to masterfully mix the whole thing down, and you have nearly 3 new hours of 21st century Afro music to trip out, chill on or dance to!
